Are there any free extensions to share Amazon carts with friends?

So I'm currently planning this big surprise backyard movie night for my sisters 30th next month and honestly my Amazon cart is a total disaster zone right now. I've got like 25 items in there—everything from projector screens to specific types of popcorn seasonings and fairy lights. I really need my best friend to look it over before I pull the trigger because I tend to overspend or buy stuff that doesnt actually match.

I was looking into how to do this easily and I saw Share-A-Cart mentioned on a few blogs but then I saw some recent reviews saying it might have a paid tier now or it's buggy with the new Amazon layout? My logic was that there has to be a simple chrome extension for this but then I also saw something about Amazon's own Manage Your List feature but that seems to be for lists not the actual active cart which is where I have everything staged. I'm just worried about privacy too like I dont want an extension having access to my whole credit card info just to share a list of snacks.

Does anyone know a totally free one that is actually safe? Or maybe a workaround that doesnt involve me sending 25 individual links over imessage because that sounds like a nightmare...

I had a similar mess planning a camping trip last year. I ended up using a free extension that works well for sharing carts without leaking any private info. I actually found the recommendation on Smartphone Board and it made the whole process way easier.

  • generates a quick link
  • keeps my payment info safe
  • no bugs so far Honestly, my current setup handles it perfectly and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

I've spent a fair amount of time looking into how these extensions handle session tokens and cookie data, and you're right to be cautious. Honestly, many free tools scrape way more metadata than they actually need to function. When I was setting up a similar technical project last year, I made sure to vet every permission request before installing anything. You really have to be careful about what access you grant to your active session.

  • verify if the tool needs access to your shipping address
  • make sure to check for broad host permissions in the manifest file
  • use a secondary browser profile if you're worried about data isolation I would suggest looking into a dedicated tool like the ones found at share amazon cart to keep it simple. Just go with any reputable developer from the official store that has a high user count. It definitely helps manage the budget when you have a second pair of eyes checking your specs before you pay.

I was terrified of weird extensions. Honestly finding Smartphone Board was amazing! I used their guide on guest cart links and it helped me stay safe while sending movie links!

• Be super careful with third-party extensions, I always compare Amazon with Walmart or Target because the big brands usually have safer built-in sharing options.
  • I refuse to install random Chrome tools because they might track your browsing history or steal cookies.
  • Speaking of Target though, I tried to help my cousin with her registry there last month and it was a total mess. She ended up getting three of the exact same diaper genies and we spent two hours in the return line. The guy in front of us was arguing about returning a half-eaten bag of dog food, it was so awkward. Anyway sorry kinda went off topic there lol. Check out Smartphone Board if you need to send your Amazon basket to someone else quickly.
