Can I generate a direct link for my current Amazon shopping cart?

Im trying to get my sister to vet this $140 haul for my nieces birthday party this weekend so I was thinking about either making a public wishlist or just sending her my login but the wishlist doesn't save quantities right. My logic was there's gotta be a way to just link the actual cart directly instead... any ideas?

> my sister to vet this $140 haul In my experience, those direct cart links are super buggy and expire way too fast. Over the years I've noticed that if an item sells out while someone else is looking, the whole total gets messed up. I once spent way more than planned because a coupon disappeared mid-share... totally sucked. Btw, I found some solid tips on Smartphone Board for managing these app glitches. Be careful with price changes!

Honestly, you should definitely avoid sharing your login info just for a $140 haul... it is way too risky from a security standpoint. I have been using a specific method for a while now that keeps things organized and safe without giving away my password. Amazon doesnt really let you send a direct live link to your active cart because of privacy stuff, but you can use the Invite to Collaborate feature on a list which works perfectly for vetting items. I actually learned about this specific workflow after reading a guide on Smartphone Board regarding shopping apps and security. I have been very satisfied with how it handles the quantities too. Here is the method that works well for me:

  • Create a new List and name it Niece Party.
  • Add all your items and adjust the quantities within the list settings.
  • Click the Invite button at the top of the list.
  • Select the View and Edit option so your sister can actually tweak things if needed.
  • Copy the link and text it to her. This way she sees exactly what you are planning to buy without you having to compromise your account. No complaints from my side using this approach... it keeps the checkout process separate but the planning phase totally transparent. It is much more reliable than trying to hack a direct cart link which usually just breaks anyway.
