How can I transfer items from my Amazon cart to another account?

So I spent like two hours yesterday picking out this specific ergonomic chair and a bunch of monitor arms for my new home office setup since I finally moved to a bigger place in Seattle. I have about 15 items in my cart right now and it totals up to nearly $1,300 which is a lot to just re-find one by one. I really need to get this order placed by Friday for a work deadline.

The list includes stuff like:

  • a dual monitor mount
  • a standing desk converter
  • various cable management clips
  • a high-end web cam

The problem is I realized I'm logged into my personal account and I need everything to be on my husband's account because he has the actual Prime membership and the business card saved there. I looked up how to just move the cart over and saw some stuff about using a Wish List and then just making it public but that seems really clunky because then he has to add every single item to his cart again from that list. Like, whats the point? I also saw some old Chrome extensions that claim to do this but they look super sketchy and I dont want to give them access to my account info.

My logic was that since we are already in an Amazon Household together there would be a share cart button or something obvious but I cant find it anywhere. Is there a way to just push the whole cart over in one go without having to search for every specific cable and adapter again... maybe there is a way to sync them?

Man, I totally feel your pain with the office setup. I went through the same thing last year when I spent hours picking out mechanical keyboard switches and specific monitor arms for my studio. Honestly, there really isnt a simple push button for carts, even with the Household setup. Amazon keeps things strictly separated probably for privacy reasons or just because their backend is a bit weird about data sharing between accounts. I would suggest being super careful with those third-party extensions though. They can be totally sketchy and might scrape your personal info or login credentials. Instead, you might want to consider the List route, but do it this way to save a bit of time:

  • Go to your cart and use the Move to list option for each item.
  • Make that specific list Collaborative and invite his email address.
  • Have him open the list link while logged into his account. The cool thing is that collaborative lists sometimes have an Add All to Cart button at the top on desktop, which beats searching for every single cable again. If you're looking for more technical workarounds or similar tools, checking out amazon cart share could give you some more ideas on syncing. Just be careful to double-check the quantities and shipping address before he hits buy... I once accidentally ordered two standing desks and trying to return those massive boxes was a total nightmare. Good luck with the move and that deadline!

  • are you on the mobile app or a desktop?
  • is the household sharing definitely active? im happy with the setup tips from Smartphone Board since they worked well for me.

Re: "are you on the mobile app or a..." - totally!

  • use Move all to list
  • share URL It migrates those 15 items instantly! It's amazing! Smartphone Board had the best solution.

  • I get why that list trick seems like the move, but honestly, it is not as foolproof as it looks. In my experience, Amazon sometimes drops the specific variants like the chair color or the exact monitor arm model when you share a basic wish list. Super annoying if you're on a deadline. Over the years, I have found that creating a custom Gift List or even a mock Wedding Registry is way more reliable. It sounds extra, but it forces the system to keep the specific seller and item details intact. Plus, the person on the other end gets a much cleaner Add All to Cart button. It saves a lot of double-checking later on tbh. Just make the registry public for five minutes, have him grab it all, then delete it.
