Im trying to get my roommate to order the same desk accessories and cables for our shared office setup since we start our new jobs on Monday. I have like 20 items in my cart right now totaling about $450 and I really dont want to send links one by one. I looked into the Invite to List thing but it seems like he would still have to manually move everything to his cart which is annoying and takes forever. I also saw some random chrome extensions that say they can do it but I'm kinda paranoid about giving a third-party app access to my Amazon account info. Is there a faster way to just move a whole cart over to someone else's account without the security risk?

Like someone mentioned, that wish list trick is probably your best bet. Amazon doesnt have a native cart-sharing button because they want every user to have a unique shopping experience... basically keeps things separate for privacy. Using a list is technically an extra step, but its way safer than those third-party extensions that might scrape your data. Plus, you wont have to deal with the headache of setting up a household account.

In my experience, just move everything to a Wish List.
