I just picked up a 77-inch Sony A95L, and I am honestly a little terrified of mounting it. Since these OLED panels are so thin and pricey, I really need a mount that is 100 percent reliable.
I noticed the VESA holes on the back of the Sony are positioned quite low, which has me worried about finding a bracket that sits right and stays level. I am looking for something that offers:
Which specific wall mounts have you guys found to be the most dependable for these larger Sony OLED models?
Mounting these low-VESA Sonys is tricky cuz most brackets are designed for centered holes. If it's not adjustable, it'll look janky or block ports. Seconding the earlier advice, but for a budget win, i honestly love the Mount-It! Low Profile Tilting TV Wall Mount MI-305B. It handles 77-inch weight like a champ and gives u enough tilt to reach side ports without sagging. Total lifesaver for the price! 👍

So basically i went through this last year and highkey worried about sag.
Watch out for the low VESA placement on these Sony OLEDs cuz a standard bracket will basically stick out the bottom. I've been doing this for years and I would suggest going with a high-end Sanus or the Sony brand mounts. They're built for the weight and wont sag, plus you can actually reach the ports. Just make sure to double-check the bolt length! gl
TIL! Thanks for sharing
ngl i totally get the fear of mounting a tv that costs as much as a used car!! I went with the Mounting Dream Full Motion TV Wall Mount MD2298 for my setup and it has been absolutely solid for years without any sagging at all. It is basically half the price of the fancy ones they sell at Best Buy and honestly does the exact same thing. Saved so much cash on the mount that I ended up blowing it all on this vintage neon sign for my man cave. It is shaped like a giant taco and flickers whenever the fridge kicks on but it makes the whole room feel like a 90s diner which is basically my aesthetic goals lol. I spent way too much time fixing the wiring on that sign yesterday instead of actually watching anything. anyway just make sure you hit the studs and you will be golden!!
Honestly, for something as expensive as a 77-inch OLED, the mount itself is only half the battle. If you're doing this yourself, the biggest mistake I see people make is not centering the bracket properly on the studs or trusting drywall anchors. Do not use those toggle bolts for a screen this big, no matter what the packaging says. Also, be super careful with the spacers and bolts that come in the box. Since the A95L is so thin at the top, if you use a bolt that is even a tiny bit too long, you risk punching through or cracking the panel casing when you tighten it down. I always hand-tighten everything first to feel for any resistance. Another thing—measure your vertical height at least three times before drilling. Because those VESA holes are so low on the chassis, if you mount the wall plate at a standard height, your TV is gonna end up way higher than you expected. Better to be safe than staring at a cracked screen or a crooked wall.
