Which Sony over-ears can actually handle a really intense workout without the ANC or the touch sensors glitching out? Ive been using my XM4s for years for my commute and travel but recently started taking them to the gym to block out the trash music they play there. The problem is I sweat a ton and now the right ear cup keeps doing this weird phantom clicking thing which is super annoying. I have a 350 budget and need something by next week before my new program starts. Should I just risk it with the XM5 or is there a more rugged model that still has that bassy Sony sound? I really dont want to switch to earbuds because they never stay in my ears when I do heavy deadlifts...
^ This. Also, dont risk the XM5! The sensors are way too sensitive for heavy sweat. You definitely need physical buttons for the gym!
I've tried many, and honestly, sweat ruins those XM5 sensors. The Sony ULT WEAR Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones are more rugged and have that heavy bass you want.
Like someone mentioned, sweat and touch sensors are a total nightmare! Honestly, you should grab the Sony WH-CH710N Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones instead. They use actual tactile buttons which is amazing for when youre dripping sweat!
