So I just preordered the a7R VI for an upcoming trip to Norway next month and I have about 800 bucks left over for accessories. Mostly doing landscape and cold weather cityscape stuff. I've been doing some digging on what to get first.

I read that the CFexpress Type A cards are pretty much mandatory if you want to write those massive files quickly, but then some people on reddit are saying V90 SD cards are totally fine unless you do heavy burst shooting. I dont shoot sports at all so my logic was to save money there and buy more batteries, but I really dont want the camera buffering forever while Im standing in the freezing wind.

Also I was looking at L-brackets. I usually keep one permanently attached to my cameras but since the VI body has those slight physical tweaks, I am seeing conflicting reports on whether the old a7R V brackets actually fit properly or if they block the side ports. Has anyone actually tried them yet? What are you guys putting in your kitbag for this beast?

You should prioritize the Sony TOUGH-G series SDXC UHS-II V90 128GB cards. They are fantastic for cold weather landscapes and provide a cost-effective alternative to CFexpress. I absolutely love them!
