For the Sony FX3, I would recommend using a CFexpress Type A memory card for the best performance. The FX3 has a CFexpress Type A/SD card slot that supports the newer and faster CFexpress standard. Some good options to consider:

• Sony CEA-G160T CFexpress Type A Memory Card
• Lexar CFexpress Type A Gold Series

These CFexpress Type A cards offer read speeds up to 800MB/s and write speeds up to 700MB/s. This will enable you to record high-quality 4K video at high frame rates with the FX3 without any buffering issues. The 160GB capacity is also ideal for longer recording times.

If you prefer to use SD cards, make sure to get a fast UHS-II card with V60 or V90 video speed rating to keep up with the high bitrates. Some good SD card options:

• Sony Tough SF-G UHS-II SD Card
• SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-II SD Card

However, for the absolute best performance especially when recording 4K 120p video, CFexpress Type A is the way to go with the Sony FX3. 

For shooting video, I highly recommend a fast CFexpress Type A card. Any brand works OK.

For most movie modes, SD V60 will suffice. The only exceptions are very high bitrate recordings like 4K/60fps or slow-motion modes, which may require faster cards such as V90 or CFexpress Type A.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have to respectfully offer a different perspective for anyone trying to maximize their budget! While those Sony CFexpress cards are fantastic pieces of tech, they are definitely not mandatory for 4K 60fps unless you are pushing into the most demanding All-I formats. You can save a massive amount of money by choosing high-performance SD cards instead.

• Kingston Canvas React Plus V90 SDXC is an amazing value because it gives you V90 speeds for way less than the competition.
• ProGrade Digital SDXC UHS-II V60 Gold handles most XAVC S and XAVC HS 4K 60p settings perfectly fine.
• Sabrent Rocket SDXC UHS-II V60 is honestly a sleeper hit for budget builds right now... really love the reliability for the price! Basically, you dont need to drop $400 on storage just to get started with this camera. Save that cash for glass!

You can choose UHS-II SD cards, these cards are still great choice for FX3.

UHS-II V90 cards are OK for FX3.
