I'm planning a trip of a lifetime, and I recently upgraded to the Sony a7 IV. Now, I'm on the hunt for the perfect travel lens to complement this fantastic camera. I'm looking for versatility without compromising too much on image quality.
My travel style involves a mix of landscapes, street photography, and occasional portraits. I'd prefer something lightweight and compact, as I'll be carrying it around all day. My budget is flexible, Any good recommendations ?

The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II is an outstanding travel lens if budget isn't a concern. It's incredibly sharp, has fast autofocus, and covers the most useful range for general travel photography. Yes, it's pricey, but the image quality is worth it.
