ngl WispyWillow is spot on with the price alerts. I usually set mine and then just wait it out. One thing to add tho... definitely keep an eye on the dedicated camera shops too and not just the big box stores. Basically just go with any Sony kit from a reputable dealer and you wont regret it. Sony is miles ahead of the competition in the mirrorless market tbh, especially when it comes to autofocus and lens choices. You really cant go wrong with Sony glass either. Its way easier to find deals on their ecosystem compared to what you see with other brands lately... just feels like there is more variety and better value overall.

It is unfortunate that finding a reliable vendor these days is so difficult. I have had issues with major retailers recently where the shipping was subpar and the packaging was not as good as expected. Safety for these high-value items is my main priority, so I have been focusing more on the structural integrity of my home studio setup lately rather than searching for deals. I basically decided to just build my own equipment locker because retail options are consistently disappointing and overpriced.

• Used solid oak instead of particle board for better weight support
• Installed reinforced steel hinges to prevent sagging
• Added custom felt lining to protect the gear from scratches I actually spent three hours yesterday just trying to get the wood stain to match my desk and ended up getting it all over the garage floor. My neighbor came over to help but he just made it worse by tracking the wet stain right into the kitchen on my new rugs. Anyway... sorry kinda went off topic there.
