Hey everyone! I've been getting really into competitive Call of Duty and Apex Legends lately, but I feel like my standard DualShock 4 is starting to hold me back. I really need something with back buttons so I can jump and slide without taking my thumbs off the sticks.

I've looked into a few brands, but I'm torn between getting a Scuf or a Razer. I'm specifically looking for:

  • Adjustable trigger stops for faster response times
  • Remappable back paddles or buttons
  • Solid build quality to avoid early stick drift

My budget is around $150. Since I'm still playing on PS4, which pro controller would you actually recommend for a competitive edge?

Honestly, if you're serious about CoD, the SCUF Impact Professional PS4 Controller is basically the goat for PS4. I've used one for years and those four paddles plus the trigger stops are total game changers for movement. If you want to save money, just grab the Sony DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment. It’s super reliable and keeps that classic feel you're already used to.

tbh I've gone through my fair share of gear. I'd definitely recommend a Battle Beaver Custom DualShock 4 Controller for those rear buttons, they're way more durable than paddles imo. If you want that Razer feel tho, the Razer Raiju Tournament Edition Wireless PS4 Controller is solid because of the mechanical buttons and trigger stops. Both are great for CoD, just depends if you like buttons or paddles more...

Saw this earlier but just getting to it now. Quick question tho, do you prefer a symmetrical stick layout or the offset Xbox style? It really matters for your aim. Personally, i think going with any Nacon brand controller is a smart move. They're super solid for the price and you wont be spending $200+ just for some paddles.
