So I just got my PS5 Pro set up in the den and honestly the graphics are killer but my current DualSense is already acting up with some nasty stick drift in the left analog. Ive always just used the stock controllers but for a $700 console it feels weird not having something a bit more high end ya know?
I have about $250 to spend and mostly play sweatier shooters like Apex and some Gran Turismo. Been looking at the Edge because of the swappable modules but heard some mixed things about the battery life compared to Scuf or Victrix. What are you guys actually using with the Pro that feels like a real upgrade?
Unfortunately, the Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller battery is a total letdown. I had issues after just a month. Get the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller for PS5 for $180, it's much better.
> I have about $250 to spend and mostly play sweatier shooters like Apex and some Gran Turismo. Unfortunately, the premium market is a mess right now. I had issues with reliability on several pro pads already. The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro Wireless Controller PS5 is your best bet for avoiding drift with its Hall Effect sensors. Sadly, you lose haptic feedback for GT. If you need immersion, the HexGaming Ultimate Controller PS5 with 4 Remappable Paddles is better but pricey. Nacon for longevity, Hex for features.
> I have about $250 to spend and mostly play sweatier shooters like Apex. The SCUF Reflex Pro Wireless Controller for PS5 is a solid pick for $220. It feels way more premium than stock and those paddles are great for Apex. Quick question tho... do you prefer thumbsticks to be symmetrical or are you looking for an offset layout? If you want offset, the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller is worth checking out for those tactile clicks...
