Hey everyone! With the PS5 Pro finally out, I’ve decided to clean up my gaming setup, but my cable management is honestly a nightmare right now. I’m currently juggling a standard DualSense and the DualSense Edge, and I’m tired of constantly plugging and unplugging USB-C cables into the front of the console. I’m looking for a reliable charging dock that can handle both types of controllers without any fitment issues.
I’ve seen a few third-party options on Amazon, but I’m a bit worried about the build quality and whether they actually support the slightly different back dimensions of the Pro/Edge controller. I’d ideally prefer something with a solid "click-in" feel so I know it’s actually charging, rather than just balancing it on top and hoping for the best. Also, since the Pro has that distinct aesthetic, I’d love a dock that matches the white-and-black theme nicely. Does anyone have experience with the official Sony charging station versus brands like Razer or PowerA? My budget is around $30-$45, but I'm willing to pay more for something that won't overheat the batteries.
Does anyone have a specific recommendation for a dock that fits both the standard and Pro controllers perfectly without scratching the charging ports?

Similar situation here - I was quite nervous about heat cycles, so I researched the NexiGo D30 PS5 Controller Charging Station. It utilizes 5V/2A input which is very stable for the Edges power draw... - I always check for integrated protective chips!!
- I prefer testing the click-in mechanism immediately. Basically it matches the Pro aesthetic perfectly and was cheap... gl!

Quick question—do you use any thick silicone skins or grips on ur controllers?? That's a huge deal for pin alignment! Anyway, these are AMAZING alternatives if you want that solid "click" feel:
- PowerA Twin Charging Station for DualSense: It has a fantastic spring-loaded press-down mechanism.
- Razer Quick Charging Stand for PS5: High-speed charging and uses magnets for perfect contact. Seriously, the build quality is top-tier!

For your situation, I would suggest sticking with the official Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense Charging Station. I was realy worried about my Edge fitting because of the back paddles, but it basically sits perfectly in there. It has that exact "click" feel you want, so you know it's actually charging and wont just slide off. Quick tip: Stick with the official Sony dock to ensure the Edge fits perfectly without any weird balancing acts. It's the safest bet for your budget and matches the console perfectly!! I checked out some cheaper brands but they felt kinda flimsy... you might want to be careful with those because some dont line up the pins right. The Sony one is usually $30, so it's a great value. Have you looked at it yet?
