Planning to buy Sony PS5 during upcoming Amazon Prime Day. Is there any good deals should I watch for PS5? Thanks.

^ This is solid advice for sure. Also, while tracking price history is smart, I'm gonna slightly disagree with just holding out for a massive drop on the console itself. In my experience buying tech for way too long, Sony rarely slashes the price of the actual unit by much because they dont have to. They usually just toss in a game or a controller and call it a day. I've tried many times to wait for that perfect price only to see it drop by like 20 bucks. If you're really budget-focused, you gotta look at the total package cost because those extras add up fast:

  • Look for bundles including the Sony PlayStation 5 Console and a game. Usually way better value than buying them separately.
  • Keep an eye on storage deals. I learned the hard way that the internal drive fills up in like 10 minutes. Snagging a Samsung 990 PRO 2TB NVMe SSD on sale is usually a much bigger win for your wallet.
  • Watch the price of a second Sony DualSense Wireless Controller. Those actually get decent discounts compared to the console hardware. Basically, dont get so hyper-focused on the console price that you miss the savings on the stuff you'll end up buying anyway... ngl, those small console discounts are often just a distraction from where the real deals are.

Totally agree, tracking the price history is the best way to make sure the sale is legit. Just a small tip from a more cautious side: once you find a deal, double check the listing details to make sure it is the newer model revision and not some old warehouse stock. Also, definitely make sure it says Sold by Amazon. Third-party sellers can be a nightmare if you end up with a hardware defect and need a return, so sticking with the official source is way safer imo.
