You made a solid choice for travel, but battery life is the biggest hurdle. Since youre on a budget, basically these work best:

Honestly, I've had some pretty bad luck with those third-party batteries. They started swelling up in my unit after a few months, which was a nightmare to get out. Not as good as I expected based on the reviews, unfortunately. Since you're heading to Japan, you really want stuff that won't fail when you're out exploring all day. I'd suggest biting the bullet for a genuine Sony NP-BX1 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery instead. It’s way more reliable. Also, I kinda hate the stick-on grips because the adhesive eventually gets gunky. I'd grab a SmallRig Cage for Sony RX100 VII CCS2434 instead. It makes the camera feel way more secure in your hand. Quick tip tho... make sure your memory card is fast enough for 4K video. Grab a SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I Card so you dont get those annoying write errors. You're gonna have a blast!
