I just bought this Sony ZV-E10 for my trip to Japan next month but honestly every video I take looks so shaky and bad. Im totally lost with all these different stabilizer things and its making me so frustrated. I only have like 200 bucks left. Sorry if this is stupid but which small gimbal actually works for this camera?
Re: "> I only have like 200 bucks left...." - honestly, $200 is a tight spot for a gimbal that wont drive you crazy. I tried some of the gear mentioned earlier and it was unfortunately way more frustrating than I expected. The balancing on those older models is a nightmare when youre just trying to enjoy a trip. If you really need to stay under budget, look at the Zhiyun Crane M2S 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal. Its smaller and usually fits the price point better than the M3. Quick tip: turn off the cameras internal Active Stabilization when youre on the gimbal. They fight each other and make the footage look jittery. Also, if you find a gimbal is too much to carry around Tokyo, just use a Sony GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip and fix the shake later with software. Much less stress for a vacation.

Saw this and had to chime in because I was in the exact same boat before my sisters wedding last summer. I am usually super paranoid about my gear falling or the motors burning out if the camera is too heavy, so I spent weeks researching everything. For that 200 dollar range, you really cant go wrong with the Zhiyun Crane M2S 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal. I have been using it with my ZV-E10 and the standard kit lens for a while now and honestly I am very satisfied with how it handles. The setup is pretty straightforward, which is great because I hate fiddling with tech for hours. The motors are surprisingly strong for how tiny it is. I remember hiking through a windy trail and it didnt even jitter once. Tbh, it feels very safe and stable which is my main priority when I travel. If you can stretch the budget by like twenty bucks or find a used deal, the Zhiyun Crane M3 Compact Camera Stabilizer is also an amazing alternative because it has a built-in light and a slightly better screen for settings. Just a heads up tho, make sure you balance it properly before turning it on every single time. It saves the motors from wearing out and keeps the battery life high. I watched a few tutorials to get the balance perfect before my trip. Its been totally reliable for me and hasnt let me down yet.

I ended up getting a compact one because handheld footage is just too messy for that camera. It took me a few tries to figure out the balancing, but having the motor really fixed the shake. My current setup is basically essential now because it fits in a small bag and saves my wrists.
