Rumors from SAR reports that major camera companies are postponing 2024 releases to meet new EU standards. The Nikon Z6III and possibly the Sony ZV-E10II are among those affected, with the latter's launch potentially shifting from late May to June.

Re: "Likely announced in June, and release date in..." - yeah F114 is probably spot on with that timeline. Sony loves a mid-summer launch. Honestly, if it helps them iron out any firmware bugs or meet those EU standards properly, I am okay with a little wait. I am usually pretty cautious with day-one buys anyway... rather let someone else find the flaws first lol. Especially if it means we get a more reliable product.

  • The original Sony ZV-E10 is gonna be a total steal once the mark II actually hits shelves.
  • If you are on a budget, skipping the new one and grabbing a used Sony ZV-E10 Body with a Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is usually a better value play anyway.
  • Waiting till July or August usually means we see the first real world tests for overheating which is a big deal for these small bodies. Rather be safe and save some cash than rush into a potentially buggy first batch.
