Which cage and handle should I get for my new ZV-E10 II before my Japan trip in two weeks? Im totally stuck between the SmallRig basic kit and the Ulanzi Falcam gear since I already use their quick release plates. SmallRig is cheaper but the Falcam seems way faster for gimbal swaps. My budget is $100 max...

Its a shame that everything decent is so overpriced lately. Honestly, the Falcam gear is okay until you realize you're basically locked into their ecosystem for every little accessory, which is a total headache when you're on a strict budget. I've been rigging cameras for years and frankly, that speed everyone talks about is often ruined by how much time you spend checking if the plates vibrated loose in your bag. If you're stuck with $100 for the whole setup, skip the flashy kits and just piece it together:

I'm really happy with the SmallRig Cage for Sony ZV-E10 II 4824 because it has multiple contact points so the camera doesnt wiggle. It's super reliable for travel. Since you're worried about budget, the SmallRig NATO Top Handle 2439 is great because it locks down solid. No complaints here, it just works well and honestly feels way safer than the cheaper plastic options for a big trip.

In my experience, the efficiency of the Falcam F38 Quick Release Camera Cage for Sony ZV-E10 II is hard to beat when swapping between setups. Since you already use their ecosystem, sticking with Falcam is the smarter technical choice for speed.

  • Integrated F38 and F22 mount points
  • Durable 6061-T6 aluminum construction
  • Precise fit allows full battery access I've tried many rigs, and the Falcam F22 Quick Release Top Handle is what you need for that trip.
