I'm hoping to snag a Sony ZV-E10 II during this year's Prime Day but haven't seen any confirmed deals yet. Has anyone spotted early discounts or leaked pricing for this camera? I'm particularly interested in bundles with lenses or accessories. Last year's Prime Day had some solid camera deals, so I'm optimistic. Should I wait for July or are there better deals elsewhere right now?
honestly if youre looking for the Sony ZV-E10 II, dont just limit yourself to amazon. prime day is cool and all but i usually find better actual value at b&h or adorama during their summer sales. they tend to offer better freebies like extra batteries or decent bags instead of the cheap plastic tripods those weird amazon bundles have. ive been tracking it on keepa and the price hasnt moved much since launch tbh. if you have an edu email definitely check out the sony education discount program thru b&h or focus camera. usually knocks a good chunk off the body price regardless of prime day. also keep an eye on the Sony E 11mm f/1.8 or the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Sony E separately. sometimes buying the body only and grabbing a used lens from mpb or keh is way cheaper than any prime day bundle deal. i did that with my last rig and saved like 150 bucks.
Basically, I went through this whole ordeal trying to save on my current setup last year because I'm a bit of a stickler for value-to-spec ratios. - Honestly, I spent way too much time looking at price history graphs. I noticed that the "big sale" prices were sometimes just the same as the random discounts from two months prior, wait no, it was actually three.
- I learned the hard way that those huge bundles usually include a bunch of cheap stuff like slow SD cards or flimsy tripods that you'll just end up replacing anyway.
- When I finally pulled the trigger on the one I got, I realized that getting the body and lens separately during a flash sale was actually cheaper than the Prime Day "exclusive" bundle. I'm still trying to figure out if the newer sensors and the 10-bit recording bits are worth the extra premium right now or if I should've just stuck with my older gear for a bit longer tbh. Just things to think about before you commit.
