Which browser extension syncs grocery lists across multiple devices?

I've been trying to organize this massive grocery list for a housewarming party we're hosting in Chicago next month and it's honestly becoming a part-time job. My partner and I are constantly adding stuff like appetizers, specific drinks, and those giant packs of napkins but we keep double-buying because our current system is just a messy shared note that doesnt update fast enough. I really need a browser extension that handles syncing across different devices and browsers seamlessly.

I did some digging and saw people recommending AnyList and Bring! but I'm kinda stuck because the AnyList web version seems to require a paid subscription and I'm trying to keep the party budget tight. Then I looked at Bring! but their browser extension reviews say it's pretty buggy on Firefox which is what I use at home while my work computer is stuck on Edge. I just want something where I can click an icon, type extra ice, and have it show up on my husband's phone immediately while he is at the store.

Are there any other tools that actually work well between a desktop browser and a mobile app without a huge lag or a monthly fee? I keep hearing about Todoist too but that feels like overkill for just milk and chips... what do you guys actually use that doesnt break?

TL;DR: Google Keep is fantastic and free! It syncs flawlessly across browsers and mobile. Use Amazon Wishlist Chrome Extension to track party items so you dont overspend!

Saw this earlier but just now responding! Honestly its such a scam how companies charge for simple syncing now. Drives me crazy!! I remember planning my sisters wedding shower and the pro app we used lagged so hard we bought double everything. Its totally ridiculous that quality is going downhill while prices go up! I've been using Share Product for my birthday lists lately and it’s way easier than the native Amazon one.

I have been using digital list tools since the early smartphone days and I am honestly very satisfied with how Google Keep handles this exact scenario. I use Firefox at home and Edge at work, and the sync has never let me down. It is basically the gold standard for what you are describing because the sync is near-instantaneous. My partner can be in the dairy aisle and if I add something from my desktop, it pops up on their phone before they even move to the next section. No monthly fee, no buggy Firefox issues, and it works perfectly on Edge too. Since you mentioned Todoist feels like overkill, Keep is definitely the lite version of that. It is just checkboxes and notes. I have been using it for years and have no complaints about the reliability. Before I fully recommend a specific setup tho, are you looking for something that specifically sorts items into grocery categories like Produce or Dairy automatically? Some apps do that to save time in the store, while Keep is just a straight list. Also, is it a dealbreaker if the extension is just a quick-add tool vs a full sidebar you can keep open while you browse recipes? Knowing that would help me point you to the best config for your party planning.
