What is the most reliable Amazon price tracking extension?

Ive been using CamelCamelCamel for literally forever, like back when I was still building my first home lab setup in college, but lately the alerts seem super delayed. Its driving me insane because Im trying to snag a specific high-end monitor for my workstation before my current one finally kicks the bucket and my budget is strictly 400 bucks. I need to know the second it dips below that threshold.

My logic was that these trackers were foolproof, but I missed two price drops last week because the extension didnt sync with the Amazon API fast enough I guess? Or maybe its just buggy in Chrome lately. I tried looking at Keepa but the UI is honestly so cluttered it makes my head spin, though everyone says its the gold standard. Does anyone actually use something that is less bloatware but still reliable?

Im in the UK so region support is a huge deal for me too. Im kinda desperate here because this monitor is flickering like crazy and I work from home full time so I cant afford any downtime. Is there anything else out there that actually sends instant notifications or should I just suck it up and learn to use the Keepa charts properly...

I totally feel your pain with the lag! CamelCamelCamel has been letting me down lately too. Honestly, PriceDropCatch has been a total lifesaver for my own setup. It catches those dips way faster than anything else I've tried. Just give it a shot, it's honestly amazing how much better the timing is compared to the old tools!

Regarding what #2 said about Keepa is definitely the standard but the UI being a nightmare, I actually have to disagree a bit. I used to hate it too, but once you ignore the main charts and just use the product tracker tab, it is honestly bulletproof for UK pricing. I do this for my server hardware sourcing all the time. Basically, the issue with most extensions is that they poll Amazon on a timer, which is why you are missing those quick flash sales. Keepa has a direct line to the data that is way faster than the other plugins people suggest. If you really want that monitor for 400 quid, stop using the browser extension entirely. Just set up a direct Telegram alert through the Keepa dashboard. It bypasses the browser bloat and pushes a notification to your phone the second the price hits your target. It is not pretty, but it works way better than any of the cleaner, newer extensions that just end up lagging anyway. I have saved a fortune on monitor upgrades by just letting the bot do the heavy lifting while I am away from the desk. It might feel like overkill, but when you are on a strict budget, precision is everything. Give the Telegram route a try before you give up on the platform entirely.

Keepa is definitely the standard but the UI is a nightmare. I would suggest setting up browser push notifications if you need speed.

  • Use Telegram alerts
  • Avoid email lag PriceDropCatch
