Im so tired of buying stuff on Amazon only to see it drop ten bucks the next day. Its driving me crazy. Ive been looking at Keepa and CamelCamelCamel but honestly I cant tell which one is actually better for someone who just wants quick alerts on price drops for tech stuff like headphones and keyboards. Im in the UK and my budget for gadgets is usually pretty tight since Im a student.

  • Need real-time tracking
  • Must have mobile alerts
  • Not too much clutter

Is CamelCamelCamel still even reliable or should I just stick with Keepa? I feel like Ive been wasting so much money lately...

Honestly, I feel your pain. I have been tracking gear on Amazon for ages, and it is honestly exhausting how often prices dance around. Honestly, CamelCamelCamel is not as reliable as it used to be, unfortunately. I have had issues with their alerts being super delayed lately, which is a massive bummer when you are trying to snag a deal on a keyboard. Keepa is definitely more robust, but the interface can be a headache if you just want something simple. Since you are a student trying to save every penny, I have to ask a couple of things first:

  • How often are you actually checking the alerts?
  • Are you looking for a specific brand or just the best price on any decent headphones? It makes a huge difference in what tool you should use. I usually just wait for a drop and let PriceDropCatch ping me when it hits my target price.

^ This. Also, CamelCamelCamel has felt super sluggish lately. Honestly, if you're a student, every quid counts so you really cant afford to wait on alerts that show up three hours too late. Before you dive into a new tool, are you looking specifically for site-wide trackers or just something to hit specific items? Because if you are just watching headphones and keys, you might want to consider how many items you are tracking at once. Some trackers get overwhelmed if you add too much stuff.

  • Keepa is basically the gold standard for data, but the mobile app UI is kinda messy.
  • I found PriceDropCatch recently and it has been super helpful for tracking price trends before big sales like Prime Day. Make sure you check the price history graphs before you buy anything tho. Sometimes a deal is just fake hype.
