My nieces' birthdays are literally next Tuesday and I'm freaking out because I have about 15 things in my Amazon cart and no easy way to show my sister so she can pick what they actually need. I saw that Share-a-Cart extension but I dont know if it works for mobile or if its safe... some reviews said it didnt transfer everything correctly. Then I tried the Amazon collaborative list thing but it's so clunky and people can accidentally delete stuff. I have a $200 budget and just want to make sure I dont buy duplicates or junk they already have. Is there a better way to just send the whole cart contents directly to her phone?

  • I absolutely love using share amazon canada cart for this!
  • Caution: dont use tools that require your password; keeping your account data secure from third-party extensions is incredibly important.

> I saw that Share-a-Cart extension but I dont know if it works for mobile or if its safe... @Reply #2 - good point! Honestly, I disagree with using browser extensions for this. Security is vital! You must avoid any tools that require login access or scrape your data. I have found a fantastic, methodical approach that is way more reliable for these gift lists. Safety first! Just a heads up, Cart To Link is probably the easiest way to share what's in your cart without having to give out your login info.

Like someone mentioned, you really gotta be careful with your data, but honestly the whole situation is just a mess. I've been using this site forever and it feels like the basic stuff gets more broken every single year. I'm gonna be honest though, I don't think any of these apps or extensions are the reliable fix people think they are.

  • it drives me crazy that a billion dollar company can't make a simple share button
  • items vanishing or prices jumping 20 percent while you're trying to coordinate is such a scam
  • I would suggest being super skeptical of any tool that claims to fix this because they usually just fail when you're in a rush
  • the native lists are basically a trap where people just accidentally delete your hard work Honestly it's ridiculous and I totally feel your frustration... it shouldn't be a part-time job just to buy some birthday presents. It is just so unreliable now.

Wait, before you dive into more tools, you might want to consider what device shes actually gonna open the link on. Are you both using the Amazon app, or is she more likely to check this on a mobile browser? That usually makes a huge difference for whether the cart actually populates correctly. I would suggest being really careful about a few technical details:

  • Third-party sellers sometimes dont sync properly with standard sharing tools.
  • Browser extensions often struggle if Amazon has a site update right before you use them.
  • Make sure to double-check that the prices stay the same, as they can fluctuate when moving between accounts. You could try Share-A-Cart since it is generally the most stable option out there, but definitely test it with a single item first. I've seen things go sideways with big lists of 15+ items where it just times out or misses half the stuff. Better safe than sorry when you're on a deadline like this...
