What is the best price history tracker to use for Amazon UK?

I am completely new to this and honestly have no idea how it works or where to start, so sorry if this is a really dumb question. I am trying to buy a new laptop for university before next term starts in September. I live in Manchester and my budget is really tight, around £500 max, and I keep seeing people say that Amazon prices change constantly and that you should track them to get the best deal.

But how do I actually do that? Is it a website or some kind of app I have to install? I heard someone mention something called Keepa but when I looked at it I got so confused by all the charts and lines. I dont want to accidentally download a virus or pay for a subscription I dont need. Are there free options that are safe and easy for a beginner who is terrible with technology? I just want something simple that tells me if the price right now is actually a good deal or if it was cheaper last week...

I was in your exact shoes last year trying to get a cheap setup for my course. Keepa is way too complicated with all those crazy charts. I ended up using CamelCamelCamel and I have no complaints at all, it works well and is super simple. Here is how it basically works:

  • You just paste the Amazon UK link of the laptop into their search bar on their website
  • It shows a very simple line chart of the price history
  • You can set up an email alert to ping you if the price drops For the laptop itself, just get any budget model from Lenovo, you cant go wrong. Let me know if you need help setting up the tracking alerts, I can easily walk you through it!
