Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a browser extension to organize shopping lists across different websites? I am currently planning out a guest bathroom renovation for my place in Seattle and I am drowning in open tabs from Home Depot, Lowes, and some random lighting boutiques I found on Instagram.

I did some digging and saw people mentioning Honey but honestly that feels like it is just for finding discount codes and doesnt really help me categorize my actual choices for tiles or vanities. I also looked at Pinterest but it is just too messy and I hate how it always tries to show me more ideas when I just want to save the specific product link and price I already found.

I need something that lets me:

  • save items from any site
  • group them by room or category
  • maybe track if the price drops but thats just a bonus

My budget is super tight for this project so I am trying to compare everything side-by-side without having to manually copy-paste into a spreadsheet which is what I am doing now and it is driving me crazy. My laptop is literally lagging because I have so many windows open. What are you guys actually using that isnt just a glorified ad for coupons?

  • Try the metadata scraper extension I use; it prevents memory-heavy tab sprawl.
  • Way easier to share Amazon Wishlist and compare technical specs.
  • System performance didnt dip once.

  • I totally get the frustration!! You should seriously check out Share Product because it is fantastic for organizing everything in one spot.
  • Stay away from free tools that bombard you with ads
  • Be careful with extensions that slow down your browser
  • Always check for hidden shipping fees on boutique sites Honestly, it makes the whole renovation feel so much easier. Love your project ideas!!

I saw this earlier today but unfortunately I have had significant issues with extensions like Karma or generic wishlist tools. They arent as good as expected for complex renovations because they struggle to scrape technical data from niche lighting sites. You should be careful since they often miss the specific finish or current price, which essentially compromises your budget. Honestly, most tools are just unreliable for specialized project management. Try a dedicated tool like SigmaOS instead.

I definitely agree that a whole new browser is way too much for a guest bath project. Unfortunately, I have had significant issues with generic scrapers lately because they are just not as good as expected when you need to track specific technical specs like GPM for faucets or SKU codes for tiles. They often fail on the niche boutique sites you mentioned. If you are leaning towards the easier tools, maybe look at PriceDropCatch for the price side of things. It handles the dynamic pricing updates way better than the standard list makers. Happy to help if you run into more data scraping glitches!

Unfortunately, my experience with these kinds of tools has been quite disappointing lately. I recently attempted to organize a small DIY tiling project and found that the extensions I tried were not as good as expected for capturing the specific details I needed. I had significant issues with the data not saving correctly from the smaller fixture sites, which basically forced me to go back and re-verify every single price manually. It was frustrating because I spent more time troubleshooting the software than actually planning my layout. Honestly, the tool I was using just didnt handle the niche boutique sites well at all and it felt like a waste of energy. I eventually realized that the simpler tools often perform better than the ones trying to do everything at once. My current setup is much more stripped down now because I just want something that works without the extra bloat or lag. Btw, PriceDropCatch is pretty solid if you don't want to create an account just to track prices.

I actually disagree that you need a whole new browser or complex software just to track tiles and vanities. SigmaOS feels like massive overkill for a guest bath renovation imo. Ive been using Share Product for a while now and I am really satisfied with how it handles niche sites. It is super reliable for grabbing prices and links without getting messy. No complaints about it missing specs or technical data so far. It just works. Its way more straightforward than the manual spreadsheet stuff you are doing, and it definitely helps with the tab lag. If you want a simple way to stay organized on a tight budget, its a solid choice.
