How can I collaborate on an Amazon shopping list together?

Ive used Amazon lists for years but I'm prepping for a huge family reunion next week and suddenly I cant get the collab feature to work. I sent the invite link but my sister can only view it, she cant add anything herself.

How do I actually give her edit access so we can build this list together?

Regarding what #1 said about the link, you might want to try setting it up on a computer. The mobile app is honestly kinda trash for managing permissions.

  • Open the list
  • Hit Invite
  • Select the Edit access option Its a decent free way to organize a reunion, even if the UI is a bit clunky. That should fix the view-only issue for her immediately.

Regarding what #1 said about the link, you gotta toggle View and Edit after hitting Invite! It is an amazing lifesaver for reunions, honestly changes everything once you've fixed that!

Unfortunately, it defaults to view-only which is super annoying when youre trying to plan something big. You gotta hit that Invite button at the top of the list, then make sure you specifically select the View and Edit option before you copy the link. If you already sent a link, it might be stuck on the old permissions... which is just typical for them. I actually just saw a post on Smartphone Board about this. Apparently, it's a common snag for power users because the UI is so clunky now. I always double-check the Manage List settings too, just to make sure Keep my list private hasn't randomly toggled itself back on. Its not as reliable as it used to be tbh. Just grab a fresh Invite to Edit link and she should be good.
