I need to find the absolute best app for tracking Sephora prices before the big sale starts next week because I am literally going broke trying to restock my vanity.
I've been looking at Honey and Karma—the one that used to be Shoptagr—but I'm honestly torn between them. I need something that sends push notifications the second a price drops or something comes back in stock. I'm looking to drop about $400 on a massive restock, mostly for these items:
- Drunk Elephant Protini moisturizer
- Dior lip oils (the ones that are literally always sold out)
- Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream
I live in Seattle so the local stores are a complete nightmare and always empty, so buying online is basically my only shot at getting what I actually want. Honey is cool for finding random promo codes at checkout but I feel like it misses the actual price drop alerts sometimes or they come way too late. Karma seems more focused on the tracking side of things but I've heard the app can be super buggy on iOS lately and I cant risk it crashing during a drop. I also just saw someone mention an app called Basket? Is that even legit for beauty products or just groceries? I have like three days to get this all organized before the VIB sale kicks off and I dont want to miss out because I was using a slow app. Which one is actually the most reliable for real-time alerts?

I would suggest being very cautious with third-party trackers for high-demand items like those Dior lip oils.
- Be careful with Karma; it often pings after an item sells out.
- Basket isnt fast enough for beauty drops.
- Make sure to use Sephoras native 'Notify Me' feature instead. Relying on external apps for limited drops is honestly a gamble tho...

Like someone mentioned, relying on third-party scrapers for high-velocity items like Dior oils is a major risk. In my experience, the refresh rate on apps like Honey or Karma just isnt high enough to catch a restock that lasts three minutes. They usually ping based on cached data which is already outdated by the time you click the link. Over the years, I have tested dozens of these and if you want something with a tighter polling interval, PriceDropCatch handles the Sephora backend much better than the big-name extensions. It is way more precise for a big 400 dollar haul where every dollar counts. Just a couple things to clarify tho... are you strictly waiting for the VIB 20 percent off code to go live, or are you hoping to find an actual price drop on the base MSRP? Also, are you tracking the mini sizes too or just full size? The stock levels for those usually fluctuate differently in the database.

To add to the point above: i usually just rely on google chrome price alerts. its a decent option and helped me snag my protini moisturizer last year without any weird app glitches.
