So I am in a bit of a panic right now. I just bought a huge Sephora skincare gift set online for my moms 50th birthday next weekend. I live in Boston and ordered it online on Tuesday because I wanted to make sure it got here in time. It cost me $160 which was literally my entire budget for her gift this year, actually it went a bit over what I wanted to spend but I wanted to get her something really nice since it is a big milestone. But I just logged on to check the tracking today and the exact same set is now on sale for $120. That is a $40 difference which is huge for me right now because my budget is so tight this month.
I have never actually returned anything to Sephora before and I usually just buy my makeup at drugstore places so I have no idea how any of this works. Sorry if this is a really dumb question or if it has been asked a million times but I am just so stressed out about this. Do they do price adjustments? Like can I just get the $40 back without having to mail the whole box back and then reorder it? I am super worried that if I have to return the physical package and buy it again it wont arrive in time for her birthday party next Saturday.
Can I just call their support line or go into a store near me to get the difference refunded to my debit card? I tried looking at their terms and conditions page but it is so confusing and I just dont get it. Does anyone know what their actual price adjustment policy is for online orders when the price drops right after you buy?
Oh my gosh, do not panic at all! I totally agree with the folks saying their customer service is super helpful with this, and I just wanted to add one quick detail about the timing of it all. I had the exact same thing happen last holiday season with a gorgeous perfume set and I was so stressed, but it turned out to be so easy to fix! Here is exactly what you need to do to get your forty bucks back:
