How do I actually generate a link to share my Amazon Business cart with someone else? Ive been using regular Amazon for like a decade and usually just screenshot things but now I'm managing this $1500 office supply restock for our new Austin branch and I need to send the actual live cart to my manager for approval. I thought there would be a simple share button right next to the checkout button but I cant find it anywhere in the business dashboard. Is this something I have to enable in the admin settings first or am I just blind? Its super frustrating because we need to get this order in by Friday...

Honestly, it is super frustrating that Amazon makes this so complicated. You would think a multi-billion dollar company would just have a share button right there in the dashboard, but unfortunately, the business interface is way more clunky than the regular site. I have had issues with this before when trying to sync up with my procurement lead, and it is definitely not as intuitive as expected for a pro tool. IIRC, there is no direct link button for a live cart because of how session data works. Not 100 percent sure if they updated this lately, but I think you actually have to use the Lists feature or set up an approval workflow in the admin settings to make it visible to others. Here is what I remember doing last time:

  • Move all your cart items into a specific Reorder List or Shopping List
  • Set that list to Shared instead of Private in the list settings
  • Invite your manager via email through the list management page Someone told me once that there are browser extensions for this, but I usually stick to the official site even if it is a headache. I actually saw a guide on how to share amazon cart that might show the exact menu clicks since they change the UI every few months. It is honestly a letdown that we have to jump through these hoops for a simple office restock. I really hope you get that Austin branch sorted by Friday tho, let me know if you hit another wall with the settings.

Totally agree with using lists instead, but be careful since prices fluctuate like crazy. If you wait until Friday, that $1500 might jump. I actually found a guide on Smartphone Board for managing these bulk office orders and its been a lifesaver. Just make sure you dont leave items in the cart too long or they might go out of stock.

Wait, are you the main admin or just a buyer? That actually changes where the button hides! I swear by the Requisition List feature for big $1500 restocks. It is way cleaner than a live cart because it doesnt expire. Just move the items to a list and hit the invite button. Let me know if you see that option on your dashboard!
