I am so sick of manually checking five different tabs every hour just to see if the price on that Legion laptop has dropped yet. My brothers birthday is in literally two weeks and I keep missing the lightning deals because the stupid Chrome extension I use doesnt even sync to my phone properly when Im at work. Im honestly so fed up with missing out on these savings and I need a better way to do this before I go broke paying full price.

  • has to have push notifications that actually pop up instantly
  • needs to track Best Buy and Newegg not just Amazon
  • free or at least super cheap because Im already way over budget
  • must be an app for iPhone

What are you guys using that actually works fast?

Honestly, Ive tried a bunch of these over the years and most extensions are kinda useless for mobile sync. To get stuff from Best Buy and Newegg, here is what actually works for me:

  • Slickdeals app: set a keyword alert for Legion. You can specify the stores too so you dont get spammed.
  • Keepa: strictly for Amazon. The app interface is ugly but the push notifications are the fastest Ive seen. Just make sure your payment info is already saved in the store apps because these deals vanish fast. Ngl those lightning deals are brutal if you arent ready to click buy in like five seconds... good luck tho.

^ This. Jeffrey is spot on about those keyword alerts. Unfortunately, I have had a lot of issues with the native Newegg app notifications lately. They are not as good as expected and usually lag way behind the actual price drop. It is super frustrating when you are on a deadline for a birthday. I also tried Honey mobile recently and it was honestly a disappointment... the sync just is not there yet and it misses half the lightning deals. The technical side of this is basically a mess because retailers like Best Buy and Newegg actively try to block these tracking bots. That is why your extensions keep breaking at work. Since you are trying to coordinate this, you could share amazon cart or your wishlist with a friend so they can help you watch it while you are busy. I have had some decent luck with the Price.com app on iOS lately, though the UI is kind of a disaster. It tracks multiple stores fairly well, but it still is not perfect. Just make sure you keep those Slickdeals alerts on the highest priority setting so they actually make noise on your phone. Good luck, hope you snag that Legion in time.
