Just catching up on this thread! You should totally use the Wish List feature because it is seriously the safest and most reliable way to do this!! It is honestly a lifesaver because it makes sure your mom gets the exact lamp and towels you picked out without any scary mistakes or wrong colors being bought. Just move everything from your cart to a new list and then hit the share button to send her the link. Its so much better than trying to share login info which is never a good idea anyway!! I love using lists for everything because it keeps things so organized and simple for everyone involved. It is basically a fantastic workaround and works every single time! Youll love how easy it is to manage everything for your dorm move! It makes everything so much less stressful honestly!

Building on the earlier suggestion, definitely stick to lists. Whatever you do, dont try those third-party extensions that claim to share carts. Most are super sketchy and i have had issues with them messing up prices or just not working. Its honestly a joke that Amazon makes this so hard. TL;DR: Use a wish list and avoid sketchy cart sharing apps that put your moms account at risk.

> is there a way to just send her my whole cart? Unfortunately no, Amazon still doesnt have a direct button to just beam your cart over to someone else. Its honestly super annoying and i have had issues with this every time i try to coordinate a buy with family. Youd think they would have figured it out by now but nope... not as good as it should be. The only real way to do it is using a Wish List:

  • Go to your cart and click Move to List for each item
  • Make sure the list is set to Public or Shared in the list settings
  • Send your mom the link to that specific list She can then hit an Add all to cart button on her end. I have tried using third-party browser extensions for this before but they are usually buggy and honestly kinda sketchy. Just stick to the list method even though it takes a few extra clicks and feels a bit dated.

To add to the point above: the struggle is real when you are trying to stay on a budget for college stuff. I have tried many ways to do this over the years and honestly, Amazon makes it way harder than it should be. When I was helping my nephew move last year, we ended up spending way too much because we just threw things in a list without checking for deals first. In my experience, you want to be super careful about price spikes. Here is what I do to keep costs down:

  • Always clip those little green coupons before you move the item from your cart to a list
  • Look for the other sellers section to find warehouse deals on things like a lamp... usually just a damaged box but saves like 30 percent
  • Check the bundle prices versus buying items separately to see which is cheaper I have had too many issues with items being out of stock or prices jumping by the time someone actually opens the link, so tell your mom to grab them quickly once she sees the list. Btw I use Share Product for my holiday shopping lists, definitely worth a look if you're struggling with the Amazon app.
