So I am trying to finish up a supply order for a new client project in Seattle and I have about 20 things sitting in my cart right now. I need my manager to look it over before I use the company card but I dont see an easy way to just send him a link. I did some googling and found something called Share-A-Cart but i'm kinda sketch about using a 3rd party extension on a work computer. I also saw people say you can move everything to a public list but that seems like way too much clicking for just one order. Is there a legit way to just share the actual cart directly through Amazon or am I stuck doing screenshots...
> i'm kinda sketch about using a 3rd party extension Honestly, using a browser tool to share Amazon carts is the standard technical workaround since Amazon lacks a direct share button for personal accounts. It is quite reliable, tbh.
^ This. Also, definitely stay cautious! It is amazing how Amazon still lacks a basic share button! I was so incredibly frustrated trying to do this for a client last week! It is literally the most annoying thing ever! You are totally right to avoid those sketchy extensions on a work machine tho because security is everything! Better safe than sorry!
^ This. Also, I am literally dealing with the exact same headache right now. I spent all morning hunting down these specific budget-friendly standing desk converters because we are trying to save as much as possible on this office refresh, but I'm just stuck. I have like twelve tabs open with different deals and I'm so worried that if I use one of those random plugins it might mess up my discounts or worse... track my personal info. My boss is super strict about security so I would suggest just being extra careful before installing anything. I once had a friend who used a coupon tool and it totally glitched out her checkout process and she ended up losing the sale price on a huge bulk order. It's just not worth the risk when you're trying to stay under a tight budget. I'm just staring at my screen hoping a share button magically appears tbh because doing screenshots for every single item feels like such a waste of time but at least its reliable.
+1
Honestly, I ran into this same exact issue when I was ordering gear for my studio last month and it was so frustrating. I spent like twenty minutes clicking around trying to find a simple share button that just... doesnt exist. Amazon is usually great with features but they really dropped the ball here. I ended up having to move every single item to a separate list just to get my partner to see it, and it was a total waste of time tbh. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to do it natively. You basically have to:
To add to the point above: unfortunately, Amazon still hasn't implemented a native sharing feature for standard carts, which is incredibly frustrating for professional workflows. I have tried several DIY workarounds for my own projects and they are never as good as expected. Honestly, the lack of a simple 'send cart' button is such a letdown for a platform this big. Quick question tho to see if there is another way... are you mostly worried about the manager seeing the total cost for budget reasons, or do they need to verify the specific specs of each item before you buy? Knowing if you have a strict spending limit might change the approach. I use tools like this Sephora price tracker to stay on top of costs for other things, but Amazon makes this specific task way harder than it needs to be. TL;DR: There is no direct way to share a cart without using a list or a third-party extension. You are basically stuck with screenshots or the 'Move to List' manual labor.
