Im trying to get stuff for my sisters baby shower next month but Im totally lost. I have like fifteen things in my cart but I cant find a button to just send the whole list to her so she can check the prices? Sorry if this is a dumb question but is there a tool for that?

> is there a tool for that? Ive used an extension called Share-A-Cart for a while and it works well. Found a tip about it on Smartphone Board while setting up a bulk order for a tech project. You just click the button and it generates a unique code for your whole cart. No complaints here, it makes sharing big lists super easy... way faster than copying individual links.

In my experience, you gotta be careful with third party tools.

  • use tools that dont need your password
  • watch out for hidden fees I was actually on Smartphone Board yesterday reading about security and ended up down a rabbit hole about vintage blackberry phones. Honestly those tactile keyboards were so much better than what we have now... I kinda miss them. Anyway lol sorry, totally went off topic.

Been thinking about your post for a bit because I went through this exact same thing last year. I had like 20 items for a custom PC build in my cart and needed my friend to double check the compatibility. Amazon is honestly so stubborn about not having a share button in the cart itself. Before I suggest the best one tho, are you just wanting her to see the prices, or do you need her to be able to swap items out and edit the list herself? It kinda changes which way is better.

  • Share-a-Cart: This is basically the gold standard. I used it for that build and it worked great. It takes a snapshot of what you have and lets her import the whole thing into her own cart in one click. Totally free.
  • Amazon Wishlist: It is the official way but it can be a pain. Prices change and it doesnt always show the final tax or shipping until the items are actually back in a cart.
  • GiftHero: I tried this once when I was looking at stuff across different stores like Target too. It is cool but probably way too much work if youre only using Amazon. I usually just stick with Share-a-Cart because it is easiest for the other person but let me know about the editing thing and I can tell you if a different tool is better.

Honestly Amazon is weirdly behind on this. You'd think a multi-billion dollar company would have a share button by now but they really want you to use their registry system instead. I ran into this last year and ended up using an extension because copying links one by one is a nightmare. Here's what actually works:

  • Share-a-Cart: It's a browser extension that generates a unique code for your session data.
  • Move to Wish List: Select all items, move them to a new list, and set it to public.
  • Screenshot: Old school but works for quick price checks if you dont need the links. The extension is the cleanest technical solution imo because it transfers the exact quantities and variations. If she just needs to see prices tho, a public Wish List is the path of least resistance. Just keep in mind that prices on Amazon fluctuate constantly based on their algorithm, so what she sees might differ slightly from your screen.

TL;DR: Share-A-Cart is the most reliable tool for sending full carts without using a registry. Saw this today and wanted to chime in since I've been managing shared shopping lists for years. I usually find that a dedicated extension is the most methodical way to handle this. It works well and I've had no complaints regarding data accuracy when moving items between accounts. Honestly, it's a lot more efficient than the manual alternatives mentioned earlier. To give better advice, I have a couple questions. Are you looking for a tool that allows her to actually modify the list, or is this strictly for price checking? Also, are you using a mobile device or a desktop browser for this? The options change quite a bit depending on your hardware.
