How do I actually get my team into my Amazon cart so we can stop sending links back and forth every five minutes? Im trying to get our new satellite office in Austin set up and I need to buy like 15 ergonomic chairs and a bunch of monitor arms by tomorrow night so they arrive before the move-in date on Monday and its already getting late.
I spent some time looking this up and keep seeing people mention Amazon Business accounts having a shared cart feature but we are just using a personal Prime account for now because the business verification process was gonna take too long and we dont have time to wait. I also saw some stuff about 'Invite to List' but that seems like a wishlist thing and I dont know if everyone can actually add things to the main cart or if I have to go through and click 'add to cart' for every single item they pick out which sounds like a total nightmare for 40+ items.
Is there any way to just give them access to the live cart so we can all see the total budget and whats in there in real time? Or is this just not a thing on regular Amazon accounts? I feel like I'm missing something super obvious but I'm in a huge rush and keep hitting dead ends...
Personal accounts dont have shared carts. I tried this for a big event once and it failed.
Building on the earlier suggestion, regular Prime accounts simply don't have a native shared cart option. In my experience, sharing passwords is too risky for any office setup. I've found that using shared lists is the only reliable way without a business account. For more specifics, checking out how to share amazon cart is worth a look. It keeps things secure while you're in a rush.
Totally agree with the previous post that lists are your best bet! I love using lists for office setups because they keep things so organized, but you definitely have to be careful about how you do it. Whatever you do, do NOT share your login credentials with the team just to get them into the account. I've seen accounts get flagged for suspicious activity or even locked when multiple people log in from different spots, which is the last thing you need before a deadline! Here is the professional way to handle this without the chaos:
To add to the point above: i actually disagree about lists being the way to go here, especially with high-spec hardware like ergonomic chairs and monitor arms. i went through this exact stress when setting up a dev lab last fall. we needed vesa-compatible arms with specific weight tension for heavy ultrawide monitors and the amazon list feature just felt too clunky for checking those specs across 15 different items. im much more satisfied using a dedicated extension like Share-A-Cart. it basically lets you bundle the whole live cart into a single code or link. it worked well for us because everyone could see the exact technical specs of what was being ordered in one go. no complaints from my end on that setup. plus, when you are dealing with things like biffma ratings or gas lift cylinder classes, you really need that real-time visibility. lists just add an extra step of clicking through to every product page which is a massive time sink when youre on a deadline. just grab the extension and skip the business verification wait... it saved our move-in day.
