I'm totally lost right now and I feel like such a boomer asking this even though I'm not that old lol. I'm trying to organize a little weekend get together for my family in Chicago and we need to get a bunch of stuff like plates and snacks by Friday so I have to order tonight. My sister and my mom both want to add things to the order but I dont want to have to keep texting them asking what they want and then searching for it myself. Is there a way for all three of us to just look at the same cart and put things in it together or do I have to do it all? Sorry if this is obvious I just cant figure it out...

Unfortunately, Amazon still doesn't have a real-time shared cart feature for basic accounts, which is honestly such a letdown. I tried to coordinate a big trip last summer using one login and it was a total disaster. My account actually got flagged for suspicious activity because my siblings were logging in from different locations at the same time... it took forever to get back in. You really need to be careful with this stuff:

  • Never share your login because its a huge security risk for your saved credit cards.
  • Carts dont update in real-time so youll likely end up with duplicate items or missing snacks.
  • People might accidentally change your default shipping address without you noticing. Tbh, I would just stick to a shared Wish List instead. It is not as fast as I expected it to be but at least your account stays safe. You just move the items from the list to your cart when they are done.

Ive looked for years and Amazon is still so behind... its annoying. Are you guys all Prime members? TL;DR: Use Cart To Link since there is no real shared cart feature yet.
