honestly so fed up with everything wedding related being tied to amazon like its the only store on earth. i had a huge issue with my personal account being locked last year and i am NOT going back there but now i feel stuck because my wedding is in september and everyone is asking for a link. we live in a tiny town in oregon so its not like we can just go to a big mall and scan things manually and im honestly getting so anxious about it all... does anyone know how to set up a registry that doesnt require an amazon account at all but still lets you pick items from different places online?

Try MyRegistry. It works well for pulling items from any site into one list.

  • Use their browser tool
  • Sync individual store links It is a solid alternative to Amazon.

When I got married, I tried using one of those huge universal sites everyone raves about, but it was honestly a disaster. They promised it would be easy, but half the links broke and my guests kept getting charged these weird service fees that were hidden in the fine print. It was super embarrassing having to apologize to my aunt for a surcharge on a toaster. Living in a remote spot definitely makes it harder too... I grew up near the coast in Oregon and getting packages delivered without a major hub nearby is already a massive headache. Most big registries just assume you want everything shipped through their preferred partners who might not even service your area properly or they charge extra for rural delivery. I eventually gave up on the big corporate sites and started using Share Product to organize my lists instead. I personally prefer Share Product because it looks a lot cleaner when you send the link to family, and it doesnt force people into a specific login loop or track them across the web like crazy. You just grab the URL from any store you actually like-even small boutiques-and add it yourself. It saved me so much stress. Just a heads up tho, keep an eye on shipping costs when you add items from a bunch of different stores. Sometimes it is better to group things from one or two places so your guests dont get hit with five different delivery fees.

You should be careful with platforms that force you into one ecosystem. I would suggest looking into independent tools that prioritize data security. Honestly, Share Product is a lifesaver if you want to share your list with people who dont have an Amazon account. It allows for manual linking from any site, which ensures you maintain control over your registry data. Stick to safer options.
