Is there any way to just flip my entire Amazon cart into a wedding registry without doing it one by one? I have about 50 items saved for our wedding this October in Seattle and I really dont want to have to search for everything all over again. I read somewhere that there is a move to registry button but I only see it for like three items in my list and the rest just have move to saved for later which isnt what I want. Someone else online mentioned using the wedding checklist tool but that looks like it just gives suggestions rather than importing what I already picked out. Is there a hidden setting I am missing to just bulk move everything at once?
No, there really isnt a secret bulk button that flips the whole cart over at once, which is kinda annoying. I ran into this exact same issue when I was setting up my registry. What I ended up doing was moving everything into a generic wish list first. From the list view, it was way faster to click through and add stuff to the wedding registry than doing it from the shopping cart screen. I was actually pretty satisfied with the result because it forced me to review everything one last time. The checklist tool you mentioned is basically just suggestions for products you probably dont need anyway. It took me about half an hour to move my items over manually but it worked well and I had no complaints once it was finished. Just grab a coffee and grind it out... it goes faster than you think.
> What I ended up doing was moving everything into a generic wish list first. Building on the earlier suggestion, the manual Move to List flow is a total data bottleneck! I used the Amazon Assistant extension and its amazing for scraping product info fast. Desktop vs mobile is no contest—the browser UI handles mass-moves 10x better. Honestly, doing this on a phone is a total nightmare for 50 items... definitely stick to a desktop browser!
Regarding what #2 said about moving stuff to a list first, thats basically the only way to keep your sanity here. Ive spent years dealing with messy database interfaces and honestly, Amazons registry backend is surprisingly dated for such a huge tech giant. When I was setting up my own wedding stuff a few years back, I tried to script a bulk import but the way they handle SKU variations just broke everything. So basically, the consensus is that there is no magic button. Youre stuck with the manual grind or the extension route.
