Is there a way to send my entire Amazon cart to someone else so they can just pay for half or see what I picked? Im freaking out a little because my roommate and I are moving into our first place in Chicago this Saturday and we still havent finalized all the kitchen stuff we need. I looked this up and saw people mentioning Amazon Household but that looks like you have to share your credit card info and Prime benefits which feels like a bit much for a new roommate situation... I dont want her having access to my actual bank account lol.

Then I saw stuff about creating a Wish List but honestly that is such a pain because she has to click every single item and add it to her cart manually and it takes forever when were trying to buy like 30 different things. Is there a chrome extension or some hidden button I missed? I just want to send the whole list of stuff in the cart so she can double check we arent missing anything before I hit buy. If we end up with two blenders because we couldnt coordinate properly I am gonna lose it. How are you guys actually doing this without it being a total headache...

Saw this while I was scrolling earlier and wanted to share what worked for me. I am super cautious about digital security so the idea of sharing my Prime account with a new roommate makes me cringe too. I had the same exact journey when I moved into my place last fall and we were trying to coordinate kitchen stuff.

  • My first attempt was the Wish List route but it was honestly a nightmare because items would go out of stock or my roommate would accidentally pick the wrong color.
  • I finally settled on using Share-A-Cart because it doesnt require any login info or shared passwords which made me feel way more secure.
  • The technical side is great because it just grabs the cart data and bundles it into a simple code you can send. I have been very satisfied with how it works and have no complaints. It really avoids that whole double-blender tragedy you are worried about. Just keep it simple and stay safe with your bank info.

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.

Honestly, Amazon makes this way harder than it should be for roommates. Over the years, I've tried all the workarounds and the only thing that actually works is using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart. It generates a unique code you can just text her, and it'll dump your whole cart into hers in one click. No shared bank info or prime household mess required. It's way faster than manual lists.
