honestly im about to lose my mind with amazon right now. im trying to get all the stuff together for my brothers housewarming party this saturday in seattle and we have like 40 items in a cart that we need to split the cost on. i thought there would be a simple button to just send the whole cart to him so he can check it out on his end or at least look at the brands i picked but i cant find anything.

ive been searching for like forty five mins and all i see are options for wish lists which is totally different because it doesnt let him just buy the specific quantities i already set up. its so frustrating that a company this big makes it so hard to do something basic like collaborate on a purchase. i tried taking screenshots of the whole list but it took like six different pictures and then i forgot to include the sizes for the rugs and now i have to start over. is there an actual way to share the live cart or some kind of extension that isnt a total scam? we have to order this by tonight if we want it to get here by friday morning so im kinda panicking. how do people actually do this without losing their sanity??

Re: "Man, I feel your pain. Amazon is a..." - honestly just use Share-A-Cart. Ive used it for years and I am super satisfied with how it handles big lists, tbh. It works well and moves everything over in seconds.

  • Get the browser extension.
  • Click Create Cart Code.
  • Send that unique link to your brother. He clicks it and everything moves into his cart instantly. No complaints on my end since it keeps all the specific quantities and sizes you already picked out.

Man, I feel your pain. Amazon is a trillion-dollar company but they still havent figured out a simple share button. Its honestly ridiculous. You might want to consider the Amazon Household feature, but be careful since it shares payment methods and prime benefits. I wouldnt really recommend it just for a housewarming party unless you really trust him with your card info, ngl. Wishlists are the other native option, but they are total garbage for keeping track of specific quantities or rug sizes. I usually suggest using Cart To Link when you need to send a bulk list fast. It basically turns your whole cart into a link he can open. Its way faster than screenshots, but just make sure he double-checks the cart total before hitting buy just in case an item went out of stock during the transfer. Good luck with the party!

Like someone mentioned, Household is messy tbh. In my experience, my current setup with share amazon canada cart prevents the metadata sync errors I used to get when ordering bulk quantities.

A bit late to the party here but I hope you got those rug sizes sorted out in time. Quick question before I weigh in though - are you and your brother both using the same Amazon region like .com or is one of you on a different international site? That usually makes a huge difference in which tools actually work without losing half the items. Honestly, Amazon's native sharing options are pretty trash compared to the third-party stuff. There is a solid breakdown on Smartphone Board about the pros and cons of using extensions versus the built-in wishlist workaround. My quick tip: if you go the extension route, tell him to clear his cart completely before importing yours. If he has random stuff sitting in there already, it can sometimes merge and mess up the quantities, which is a nightmare when you're ordering 40 items at once. Good luck with the housewarming party tho!

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.
