How can I share my Amazon cart with someone?

My roommate and I are trying to split the cost for our college dorm stuff before we move in next week. We have about 15 items in my cart totaling around $300. I need to show him exactly whats in there so we can agree on the budget.

I am looking at two options. I could move everything to a shared Wish List, or use a Chrome extension like Share-A-Cart. Wish list feels safer but transferring 15 items is a pain, whereas the extension is fast but Im kinda wary of security. Is there a native way to just send the cart link, or which option is best?

@Reply #1 - good point! Security is a big deal with shopping accounts. I went through this exact headache last year splitting dorm gear with my roommate. Here is what we figured out:

  • Shared Wish Lists are the safest. Moving 15 items is tedious, but it prevents double-orders since it shows whats been bought.
  • Extensions are faster but track browser data. If you use one, just uninstall it right after sending the link.
  • Keep an eye on shipping costs. Splitting the order might push one of you under the free shipping minimum if you dont have Prime. There is a decent breakdown on Smartphone Board about managing these shared lists safely. Let me know if you need help setting it up!

Be cautious with extensions for security. I found a guide on Smartphone Board regarding:

  • Amazon Household
  • Shared lists Stick to native tools to keep your shopping data secure.
