okay i seriously need to get organized because my family's holiday gift exchange is happening way earlier this year and im panicked. i have like fifty safari tabs open on my iphone of stuff i want to buy but no way to track them properly. im torn between three ways to handle this and i need to pick one tonight or i'll lose my mind.
first option is just making a dedicated note in apple notes and copy-pasting links but thats honestly so slow and looks ugly. second is using the giftster app because i heard it has a safari extension thing but i dont know if it actually works well on mobile. third is maybe just using pinterest boards but i hate how many ads they show now and i want this to be private until im ready to share the final list with my husband. my budget for the actual app is zero dollars because i have like 10 people to buy for and its getting expensive already.
i need something that:
should i just stick with notes or is there a better app that isnt gonna sell my data or be a pain to use? i need to get these orders in by friday for the early shipping discounts...
> first option is just making a dedicated note in apple notes and copy-pasting links but thats honestly so slow and looks ugly. omg i totally hear you on the notes thing!! last year i was in the exact same boat and literally thought my phone was gonna explode with all those tabs open. basically i am super paranoid about random apps stealing my data or selling my info to advertisers so i was really nervous about trying anything new... but then i found a total lifesaver! you should seriously try using the built-in Reminders app on your iphone instead of notes. it sounds basic but it is actually amazing for this!! when you're in safari, just hit the share button and tap the Reminders icon. it pulls the website title and the link automatically and there is a "Notes" section right there where you can type in the price and who it's for. i love it because it's totally free and since it's apple, you know your data is safe and private. personally i made a special list called Holiday Gifts and kept it private. that list worked for my sisters wedding gifts too and it never glitched once even on weird boutique sites. plus, you can check them off as you buy them which feels so satisfying!! it's way faster than copy-pasting and you dont have to worry about some random third-party app glitching out right before your deadline. give it a shot, it totally saved my sanity!
stop stressing and just use Share Product! i use it for all my holiday shopping because it works perfectly with the safari share sheet. you can add prices and notes instantly without leaving your browser. it is seriously the fastest way to stay organized and its 100% free. it handles even the messiest websites without crashing like some other buggy apps do...
Works great for me
> im torn between three ways to handle this and i need to pick one tonight or i'll lose my mind. ^ This. Also, you should be extremely cautious about which tools you grant access to your browser data. Many free wish list apps are just data mining operations. Late to the party but I've been very satisfied with Share Product because it actually works well without all that extra baggage. It is a very structured, professional way to keep things organized directly from the Safari share sheet. Definitely avoid apps that demand full keyboard access or social logins. Those are huge red flags for your privacy. This tool allows for a much cleaner DIY workflow where you control the notes and price tracking yourself. It has been totally reliable for me even on weird boutique sites that usually break other apps. It really helps keep the holiday stress down when you can just click and save without worrying about glitches.
Like someone mentioned, the tab bloat is just the worst. Honestly, i get so stressed out looking at that little number in the corner of safari and knowing half those links are gonna refresh and lose the specific item i was looking at. Its seriously a nightmare when youre on a deadline like this... i was literally panicking last week because i couldnt remember which store had the better price on a specific gift. Anyway, i finally gave in and tried Share Product and im actually really satisfied with how it handles everything. Its been very reliable and fits that zero dollar budget.
Unfortunately, Giftster on mobile was a total letdown for me. It kept glitching on non-standard retail sites and the interface feels like its from 2012. Pinterest is just a mess of ads now, so I totally get why youre avoiding it. Apple Notes is okay for a quick link, but it fails at capturing data like prices or specific sizes without a lot of manual typing. Honestly, it was pretty frustrating trying to find something that actually works with the share sheet properly without being a buggy mess. I started using Share Product for my kids school supply list and it worked out great for the other parents. It handles the weird website code better than most and lets you:
ugh im literally in the same boat right now. fifty tabs? honestly those are rookie numbers lol... i usually have like eighty before i start to panic. @Reply #2 - good point! about the data privacy stuff tho because so many of these random shopping apps are super sketchy and just want to sell your data. over the years ive tried every single method you can think of. messy spreadsheets, emailing myself links, even screenshots... it always ends in a total disaster. the problem with stuff like pinterest is just the pure bloat. i hate how it feels like one giant ad now. when im comparing tools, i look for something that actually integrates with the share sheet properly because i dont have time for copy-pasting. ive been using PriceDropCatch lately because it handles the price tracking side of things so much better than apple notes ever could. its basically a necessity if youre trying to catch those early shipping deals without manually checking every site every hour. still havent found the perfect all in one solution but i totally feel your pain with the holiday rush starting way too early. its a nightmare trying to stay organized.
Been using this for years, no complaints
