How can I make my Amazon wishlist look more aesthetic?

so im turning 21 next month and i really want to share my gift list with my friends and family but honestly amazon lists are just so ugly and cluttered looking. my logic was that if i make it look a bit more aesthetic then people might actually enjoy scrolling through it like a vibe check rather than just a chore. im in california and my birthday is in three weeks so im on a bit of a time crunch to get this sorted.

i did some digging and saw some people suggesting to use the 'Idea Lists' feature instead of a basic wishlist because you can add a header image and it looks a bit more like a gallery. but then i read some other threads saying that idea lists dont show if an item has been purchased already? which is super confusing and basically a dealbreaker because i dont want to end up with three of the same blender lol.

i also saw something about using emojis in the names of the items to categorize them but it still feels so messy and corporate. i want it to look more like a pinterest board or those cute gift guides you see on tiktok. is there a way to hide the price or maybe change the layout without using some weird browser extension that nobody else will see? or am i stuck with this basic layout...

I have been dealing with this exact same issue for several years now and it is beyond frustrating. Over the years, I have tried many different workarounds but nothing makes that corporate layout look halfway decent. Current hurdles:

  • Cluttered grid interface
  • Zero layout control Are you planning to share this link publicly on social media or just family? I recently switched to Share Product for my personal tracking and it's much better for staying organized.

^ This. Also, trying to make standard Amazon lists look cute is kinda a losing battle, unfortunately. I spent hours on mine and it still felt like a boring grocery receipt... ngl its pretty frustrating. If you want that Pinterest vibe:

  • Check out sites like Giftful or Wishlistr
  • They scrape the Amazon links for big, pretty images
  • They actually handle the mark as purchased thing perfectly

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.

TL;DR: Search YouTube for aesthetic wishlist tutorials to find a DIY guide for the gallery layout. Stumbled on this thread and honestly, I have been super happy with my setup lately, no complaints at all. @Reply #1 - good point! about the duplicate issue, that really is the biggest headache with the standard options. I have been doing this for years and it is still the main thing that trips people up... Quick question before I dive in tho, are you mostly looking for a desktop layout or does it need to look perfect on mobile for your friends? It kinda changes how you would go about the DIY setup for the vibe check you are after. Basically, I found this amazing walkthrough a few months ago that fixed everything for me. You should just search YouTube for aesthetic amazon wishlist tutorial 2024 or something like pinterest style gift guide and it is like one of the first results. It shows exactly how to get that clean look without the corporate mess. It works well and I am super satisfied with how mine looks now, very pinterest-y.

Jumping in here because honestly, it is ridiculous how Amazon refuses to update their UI. I have been using this site forever and it is actually insulting how corporate and clunky everything feels. It is a total scam that we pay for Prime and still have to look at lists that look like a spreadsheet from 1998. It drives me crazy. A few things that have been bothering me for years:

  • The 'purchased' tag is so unreliable it is basically a coin toss whether you get duplicates.
  • Everything is so cluttered with 'sponsored' junk and 'buy it again' buttons that nobody asked for.
  • Quality feels like it is going downhill while they just keep making the interface more confusing to navigate. Honestly, Cart To Link is a lifesaver when you are trying to coordinate a group buy or a shared gift on Amazon and need to keep things organized, but it does not fix the fact that the main site has zero soul. It is just so sterile. Quick question tho before I share my usual workarounds... are you going for a specific 'vibe' for the items, like a certain color palette, or do you just want the layout to look less like a database and more like a real shop?
