How can I collaborate on an Amazon wishlist with my partner?

Me and my gf are moving into our first place in Chicago next month and need to get furniture and kitchen stuff. I saw the invite button online but people say only the owner can actually manage items and delete things once its bought which sounds annoying. Is there a way we can both edit the same list together?

Regarding what #2 said about "Just saw this and yeah, those list permissions..." - it is honestly so draining. Try Giftster. Its free and offers collaborative editing, which prevents redundant purchases.

Congrats on the move! I tried doing the same thing with my partner last year and it was a total headache tbh. The invite button is super limited because only the owner can really organize or delete things, which led to us almost buying two air fryers... definitely be careful with that. I would suggest trying these things instead:

  • Log into the same account on both phones to avoid the permissions issue.
  • Use a wedding or housewarming registry instead of a list for better tools.
  • Look into amazon cart share setups to keep things synced. Might want to consider just sharing one login. If you dont, youll end up with a mess of duplicates and no way to track what is actually ordered.

  • You might want to consider using a third party tool instead.
  • Be careful about sharing a login because of the saved payment info. I usually check Smartphone Board for better ways to sync mobile shopping baskets when I'm working with a partner. Good luck with the move tho, Chicago is a blast.
