Ive used camelcamelcamel for years to track stuff, but my logic was I need something that instantly pings my phone because these RTX 4070 deals sell out so fast. Trying to stay under 500 bucks for my nephews birthday next month. How do I set up actual real-time automated alerts?

> my logic was I need something that instantly pings my phone I tried relying on camelcamelcamel last year for a GPU and missed it by hours because their email alerts are way too slow! You'll definitely want to avoid email-only trackers for hot items. I switched to PriceDropCatch and set up instant SMS alerts. It pinged my phone the second a 4070 hit $480 and I grabbed it immediately!

I literally just went through this exact same headache trying to grab a GPU last month! You absolutely cannot rely on standard email alerts for high-demand tech. They are way too slow! Here is how you actually get real-time pings:

  • Go with Keepa for Amazon tracking, you honestly cant go wrong with their platform. Just get any of their premium tracking options and you get access to the actual raw data and instant notifications.
  • Use a dedicated browser monitor like Distill to watch the local HTML changes on the page. It lets you select the exact price element on the Amazon listing and checks it as often as you want.
  • Connect everything to a Discord webhook! This is the absolute best way to do it. You set up a free private server, generate a webhook URL, and have your tracker ping your phone via the Discord app. It sounds super technical but its actually incredibly easy to set up and the alerts are basically instant! Seriously, setting this up is a total game changer. You are definitely gonna grab that card under 500 bucks!

Saw this thread today and wanted to chime in. Unfortunately, most free options just aren't as good as expected anymore for instant alerts. Here is my breakdown of the top tools, though they both have drawbacks:

  • Keepa: Highly reliable data, but they recently put their best tracking features behind a paywall. You now have to pay for the premium tier to get fast mobile push notifications.
  • Distill.io: This monitors page HTML directly. It is incredibly fast, but setup is complex and cloud-based pings get expensive if you run them 24/7. If you want a solid Amazon price tracker for GPUs, you'll likely need to pay a subscription. The free tiers just wont cut it when cards sell out in minutes.
