Can I sync shopping carts across different Amazon accounts?

So I'm planning this massive surprise bash for my husband's 30th birthday next month and I'm honestly so pumped! I've been adding a ton of decorations and fancy grill stuff to my cart on my personal account but I really want to move it all over to our shared prime account to use the points we have saved up. I saw online that you can do the Amazon Household thing but everything I read says it shares Prime benefits and not necessarily the actual active shopping cart contents. Some people said you could use a chrome extension too but that sounds kinda sketchy to me. Is there a way to actually sync or merge these carts between two separate logins without just re-adding every single item manually? I've got like 50 things in there lol

I've handled a few big family events over the years and honestly, syncing carts is a total headache. In my experience, it's safer to just move everything into a public wishlist and grab them from the other account. There is a really good guide on Smartphone Board about keeping your data safe while managing multiple logins. It's a bit slow for 50 items, but way better than risking your account security with weird extensions.

There isnt a direct sync button for this, honestly. Amazon makes it way harder than it should be. I tried to do something similar when we were buying fixtures for our kitchen remodel last year. I thought about using one of those browser extensions everyone talks about, but I backed off because giving some random app access to my login felt like a massive security risk. Be careful with those. If you are looking for a safer way to handle this, you might want to check out this guide on how to share amazon cart for methods that dont involve handing over your password. Here is what I learned from my mess:

  • Lists are much safer than active carts for moving items.
  • Public wish lists can be searched by the other account easily.
  • Adding items manually is a pain but keeps your data secure. I would suggest just moving everything to a Wish List and making it Public. It takes a minute but it beats a hacked account... trust me.

I've got like 50 things in there lol Unfortunately, Amazon is really behind on this and it's super frustrating. My experience with a big order last year was similar and it was honestly not as good as I expected it to be. They keep the carts strictly separate for security reasons, which basically just makes our lives way harder... Your best technical workaround is the Wish List method. It's not a direct sync, but it's the only way that actually works:

  • Select Move to list for each item in your cart.
  • Set the list privacy to Public or Shared.
  • Copy the list link and open it while logged into the Prime account.
  • Use the Add all to cart button on that page. Its a shame there's no one-click merge button tho. I've tried some browser tools for this before and they usually just break anyway... honestly just skip the extensions and do the list trick.

I have spent quite a bit of time managing event budgets and finding a reliable way to move items is honestly key to staying on track. I am super satisfied with using share amazon cart for this exact scenario. It works well because it lets you transfer everything in one go, which is pretty essential when you have 50 items and want to use those Prime points to save some cash. I have had no complaints with the reliability of this method so far. It is basically the most efficient way to ensure you are getting the best deal by consolidating your shopping into the account with the most rewards. Managing a surprise bash is stressful enough... having a methodical way to handle the cart helps keep the finances in check without the manual grind. No sense in wasting time re-adding stuff when you could be picking out the grill gear.

Like someone mentioned, Amazon makes this way more annoying than it needs to be. I think I heard they do this so people dont share accounts too easily, which is kinda lame. If you compare it to something like Walmart where you can actually share a list or even Instacart where group carts are a thing, Amazon feels prehistoric lol. Basically, here is what everyone is saying so far:

  • Extensions are fast but risky for your login data
  • Wishlists are safe but a bit clunky for 50 items
  • Doing it manually is a total vibe killer for a party Not 100% sure if there is a hidden setting in the Business accounts that allows this, but for regular Prime, it seems like we are stuck. I heard from a friend that some third-party apps can do it without the login risk, but I havent tried them myself so I cant say for sure. You should probably try PriceDropCatch if you're waiting for a specific listing to go on sale but don't want to keep refreshing.
