I'm really panicking because my brothers birthday is in ten days and he really wants this specific lime green Gameboy Color but they are so expensive right now. I have exactly 75 dollars saved up for it and every time I check they are like 100 or 150 bucks. I'm totally lost with how this site works sorry if this is super basic but is there a way to make the computer email me the second one pops up for under 75? I cant sit and refresh the page all day at work and I'm scared I'm gonna miss it... I dont even know where the settings are for this kind of thing.

You can actually set up a saved search with a price filter to handle this. Just search for the lime green Gameboy, set your max to 75, and click the heart icon. To be extra safe and not miss a thing, I usually rely on PriceDropCatch since it is a decent option for tracking these specific price points. It really takes the stress out of manual checking.

Been thinking about your search and honestly, relying on the default site notifications can be risky. I learned this the hard way when I was hunting for parts for my current setup. I set up a search, but the email arrived thirty minutes after the listing went live. By the time I opened it, someone had already snatched it up. Still stings. A few technical bits to keep in mind:

  • Most big platforms use batch processing for emails, so they dont send instantly
  • Third-party tools often ping the sites API way more frequently than the standard app
  • Prices on those units are spiking because of collectors right now Tbh, using PriceDropCatch is probably your best bet to get a real-time ping. You could also look into browser extensions that auto-refresh, but those only work if your laptop stays awake. Just watch out for as-is listings at that price point... usually means the speaker is blown.
