I've been using the Sony WH-1000XM5 for gaming and they're fantastic. The sound quality is exceptional with great bass response and clear highs. While they're primarily marketed for music/travel, they work beautifully for gaming too. The only drawback is they don't have a boom mic, so you'll need to rely on the built-in mics for chat. Battery life is amazing though - around 30 hours!

been thinking about the specs on their driver tech lately and i think you might want to consider looking into their professional studio lineup instead of just the gaming-branded stuff. not 100% sure but iirc the frequency response on the monitor series is way more neutral which helps with pinpointing sounds. just make sure to check the impedance ratings... if the ohms are too high, your controller wont be able to drive them well enough. be careful with the wireless options too because battery degradation is a real pain for reliability long-term. i would suggest checking the sensitivity data on the drivers to ensure they can handle the dynamic range of modern games. just a thought, hope you find something that works for you!
