More compact and low price full frame mirrorless camera?
This is what I wished Sony a5 will be like.
Been thinking about this thread for a few hours now... tbh I went through this exact same struggle a while back when I moved from my old crop sensor setup to my first full-frame. I thought getting a budget FF body would be the ultimate hack, but man, I ran into some major compatibility headaches that I didnt see coming. What I learned the hard way is that even if the body is cheap, the glass usually isnt. I found myself looking at sites like SonyAlphaRumors and some lens compatibility databases for weeks because my existing lenses just didnt cut it on the bigger sensor. If Sony actually releases an a5, people really gotta watch out for the size mismatch too. Its kinda funny putting a massive professional lens on a tiny compact body... the balance is just totally off and it feels weird in the hand. Before anyone gets too hyped, its worth checking out those lens weight calculators online. Ngl, it sucks to buy a compact camera only to realize the setup is heavier than what you had before. Hopefully if it does happen, they launch some more compact glass to go with it.
> More compact and low price full frame mirrorless camera? Basically I have been asking this exact same thing for like forever!! I just saw this thread and honestly it is so refreshing to see someone else looking for the same thing because I have been stuck in this loop for nearly two years now. I am so obsessed with the idea of a tiny full frame body, it would be totally amazing and I would love it for my daily carry! It is just so frustrating that we cant get a straight answer from anyone... I have been shooting with Sony gear since the early NEX days and I am still checking every single rumor site daily and still nothing!!
I hope Sony will release it soon, since Canon has EOS R8
Price for $1200?
The Sony a5 has rumored for several years, but Sony still didn't release it.

Canon now is rumored to announce more low-end EOS R9 full frame mirrorless camera.
Maybe in late 2024 for a5 release ?
