ngl its easy to get lost in the specs but you really gotta be careful about the hidden costs like lenses and high-speed cards. i would suggest thinking about your ergonomics before you pull the trigger because some of these bodies are tiny and might feel cramped if you have larger hands. before giving a solid recommendation tho i gotta ask... what is your actual hard budget for the body and lenses combined? also are you looking for a full frame sensor specifically or are you open to aps-c systems? knowing if you want to focus on high-speed action or mostly static landscapes would really change which tech specs you should prioritize like phase-detection points or buffer speeds. just wanna make sure you dont end up with a setup thats too bulky to actually take out and use.

Also, everyone focuses on the body but unfortunately those lens prices will absolutely wreck your bank account if you arent careful. i had issues with thinking i needed the newest tech right away and honestly it was a total waste of money when i was just starting out. the newer bodies are great but the prices are not as good as expected for someone on a budget. if you want to actually have money left over for a decent lens, i'd suggest looking at some older gems:

• a used Sony a7 II Mirrorless Camera
• Sony FE 50mm f1.8 Lens
• Sony FE 28-70mm f3.5-5.6 OSS going with an older full frame body might feel a bit slower than the newest stuff but youll actually learn how to handle a camera properly. plus you wont be broke and crying when you see how much a good zoom lens costs lol...

In 2024, I will recommend the Sony ZV-E10.

The original a7C is still a good FF camera for beginner.

The a7 III is a good beginner camera in 2024. I got it for $1298 during Amazon Prime Day.
