Should I waiting for a7R VI or just buy the a7R V now ?

There haven't been any official announcements from Sony yet about an a7R VI, so a release date is unknown at this point. The a7R V was just released in late 2022, so I wouldn't expect an a7R VI anytime soon, probably not until late 2024 or 2025 based on Sony's typical release cadence of 2-3 years between models.
The a7R V is an excellent camera that significantly improves on the a7R IV in terms of autofocus, video capabilities, resolution and more. Unless there are specific must-have features you think the a7R VI might add, I'd recommend going for the a7R V now rather than waiting for a hypothetical a7R VI. The a7R V will serve you well for years to come and there will always be a newer model on the horizon. Buy the camera that best meets your needs now.

@temmer I am confused. I purchased a Sony AR7 V last year, and still see people refer to it as an upcoming release. AR7 VI is next, so I'm a little confused from time to time.

@computationalmystic a7 Mark V is not released yet, what you bought is the a7R Mark V.
